My thoughts

When you set your expectations too high , you get disappointed
When you set your expectations too low, you worry your child is unable to meet the expectations of the societal norms

A school should be a place where a child learns and improves on his or her own ability and potential
And not set unrealistic expectations on them and expects them to fufil the societal norms where the norms can overly exceedingly focus on the elite
This only makes the majority of the child population having low self esteem at a tender age
And lose out in creativity and risk taking as having the correct answers is deem more impt than being creative in our societal norms
