Back from Cambodia

i am back safely from the third world country Cambodia...
i thank God and all of you folks who had prayed for me and my team of teachers and pupils...
most of us are healthy except for one or 2 who had a bit of stomach flu and fever...
i thank God for the flights as well...one of our flight got delayed but
thank GOd both flights arrived in singapore at the same time...
i praise God for all the things He has done ...
the trip has been fruitful though it was fustrating initially as our pupils were full of complaints of the lack of comforts they had
but as they went tru the days of helping out at the village and sightseeing...visiting the children's hospital and handicapped centre...
they realised how fortunate they were...
more than half of the children in cambodia esp in the village live not more than 15 yrs old
mortality rate in cambodia is high due to lack of education; poor sanitation ; hygiene education and awareness of safety
In this ex war zone land, there are still plenty of landmines out there in the fields where
the villagers worked
this caused many to lose their lives and handicapped due to accidents in the fields
during while i was in cambodia, the news in mumbai and bangkok were shocking and worrying
we had CNN at our guesthouse
we followed thru the news day after day
i prayed for the safely of my colleagues who are travelling in india and bangkok as well
on our day of departure, there were quite a number of foreigners at the cambodia airport...many took 1 hr car ride to cambodia from bangkok , hoping to get a plane home...
bangkok situation was tensed ...
quite an experience...
